There are no sidewalks here, at least in the old part of the city. As the day marched forward the traffic took on the snarled look of the wiring that hangs from the utility poles astride the streets; snarled, chaotic, rat’s nests.

I thought Thailand and Vietnam were green. You cant get any greener than green, I suppose. Even the bricks and sidewalks covered in blankets of green moss. Water, creeks and waterfalls surround you, though hard to see through all the foliage, but you can hear them and feel them nearby, like the presence of a good friend.

What do you say when your time in Thailand is nearly done and you get violently ill from something you likely ate? Or from licking doorknobs. Who knows. You say, “Phuket!” And bounce outta the Muay Thai Ring to Hanoi. Good morning Vietnam! Coffee like God intended it to be, lucky me.
The cave is philled with Phalluses; offerings from boatmen according to local legend and belief, to bring fertility and childbirth. That’s not exactly how I remember boatmen, offering their phalluses anyway but, live and let live.
